The icons for my favorites are all scrambled: Yahoo Mail displays the nfl.com icon, Vanguard display a Google icon, etc. How do I associate the proper icons with my favorites listings?

I have at least 100 favorites and your suggestion would be very time-consuming. I read somewhere of an easier, less radical way than that, but I can't remember where I saw it! Any other suggestions?

What happens if you re-visit one of the links with a wrong "favicon" - does it restore the correct one?

No, they are not. Incorrect icons have been associated for months with favorites I use on a daily basis.

Hello ancientnut, and welcome to the forum.
Heres a simple suggestion that may or may not work, but it wont cost much to try. If you have system restore enabled, can you go back to a time before the icons got scrambled?

Thanks for the suggestion, but I use system restore sparingly and since the icons have been scrambled for months, I prefer not to restore to a point that far back in time. I guess I'll just have to live with the incorrect icons.
