Question sorting in Excel 2003

I have a large workbook with many worksheets. The first worksheet has part numbers and prices. All of the remaining worksheets refer to the part number price sheet. When I sort the part number/price sheet, the references in all of the other worksheets do not get updated so they are all wrong.

If I manually sort the part number/price sheet by dragging rows around, the references in the other sheets get updated and remain correct.

Is there a way to have the computer sort the first sheet and keep all of the references in the other sheets correct?

thanks................................matt

Hey Matt!

What formula are you using for your references?

Looking forward to your reply,

I'm using a simple equate. I move to a cell on one of the worksheets, press "=", then move to the cell on the Main Sheet and press return.

The problem is when I sort the Main Sheet, the references used in the formulas on the other sheets do not update.

Hey Matt,

This would probably be simpler if you were to attach the page of your workshee that has the referenced information, and one of the worksheets as an example. That way I can show you exactly how to referrence the information so that the worksheet will do what you want it to do.

Looking forward to your reply,
