I recently started using Windows movie maker and was wodering if there are any better programs out there.Can I use Quicktime Pro on a Windows PC?

Quicktime Pro im sure you can buy that for windows.

There is one called Avid Professional DV Editing for the enthusiast

I don't think QuickTime Pro is a good video editor.
Avid Free is good, but a very steep learning curve.
I would suggest Adobe Premiere Elements. An excellent video editing tool that is under $100. It even has built in DVD burning!
Make sure that you use the PAL settings since you are in the UK rather than the USA.

Avid free does seem to have a steep learning curve,I haven't figued out how to start using it properley yet.

Yes... Quicktime Pro works well on WIndows...not a great editor by any means, but it does work. I agree with the tractor driver..Adobe is better.... a mega d/l even on highspeed... but a good one nonetheless.

Yes! If you have the money, I would suggest the Adobe Production Studio. But if your going to run a business off video editing like I have, might need to look into a Mac.
