Question Adding Additional Pictures to CDs

I have been using CD-R 700 mb (Data/Music/Phots) CDs for burning pictures from Kodak.

I recently updated to Kodak's latest version & I could not longer add additional pictures to my CDs. So I contacted Kodak & they told me that with their new upgrade, it does not allow you to add additional pictures to a CD. I say 'no way' - like when I've only got 10 maybe 20 pictures on a CD - there's a heck of a lot more room for more pictures. The gentleman stated I could uninstall the latest version and go back to my original ver. 5. something. So that's what I did.

But I still cannot add additional photos to my CDs. Can anyone help me?????

Thanking anyone in advance for your assistance!!

Hiya Kate
Are you trying to configure the disk so it will run on a dedicated Kodak player or just any hardware?

No, all I have done in the past is load my pictures from my camera on to my computer into Kodak Easyshare (in separate albums), then from there I put in a CD-R in my D:\, select pictures to burn to CD, and burn them. It was just that simply.

Now, when I click on the 'Burn CD' icon and the Burn CD Screen appears, & at the bottom, you are just supposed to click on the 'burn' button', it goes to the next step where it shows you that Kodak is preparing and that exactly where it stays forever and ever until you 'Ctrl.,Alt.,Del.' & actually stop the process.

Hope that gives you a clearer picture of what is happening!!

Why don't you just use XP's built in burning software, I think it's Roxio and some folk say it's **** but I've used it loads of time without a problem, or use Nero.
Pull the pics you want into a folder called say "Pics to burn" for example and then just send them to D if that's your RW.
Just make sure they are not in some obscure kodak format but rather jpeg.

Hey CrazyKate.
I just bought myself a KodakC875 for christmas. It came with the new version of their Easy Share software, and i had the same problem you have. I had always just used Windows Scanner and Camera Wizard before. I also have an HP camera and tried their software too. I didnt like either and went back to the scanner and camera wizard, and use either xp`s burner, Nero or or one of several other burning programs i have. Most of them will allow you to burn an open session disk and add files when you wish. I didnt like Easy Share at all. it had alot of bugs in it, capturing video didnt work right either.

I never really have liked those "easy share" "organizers" or any of that. My computer treats a camera the same way it does a thumb drive and I make the folders and burn the pictures myself. Makes life easier I think. A lot more controllable.

THANK YOU everyone for your input!!!!!!! I truly appreciate every response.

I have been told in the past to get rid of EasyShare & just never did. Well, after installing the upgrade, uninstalling, going back to the old version - I will still uninstall all of it just as all of you have suggested!!

Thanx again!!!
