Hi,
Have downloaded java to new computer, Dell C521, but when i go on some sites it takes ages to work and then when the applets DO come up i type and about 10 seconds later the words appear!! The sites used to work fine on the other computer............dont know what it was using ........macromedia i think????!!!As you may be able to tell i am not the brightest spark in the box when it comes to computers so if you CAN help...........please no tech. terminology

Hi... My mum has a Dell Dimension with Windows XP Media Center and IE 6.... Its running slower than hell and even browser windows won't close without a fight!! I've checked the Task Manager and it says that the CPU usage is 100% even when the Task Manager is the only thing open. That can't be right surely? Now I'm not very computer minded so please speak slowly and without jargon!!! Ta muchly!!

EDIT: I have merged your two posts OwensMum as they are directly involved with the same issue.
In future please post further posts that appertain to the original in the original.
Thank you

Hi OwensMum

Welcome to PC Help Forums

Are you running IE7 as I'm led to believe it has a few problems.
I don't run Internet Explorer as a browser as I think it's trash, but one of the Tech Team who are will assist you with this problem.
