Default Windows Media Player 10..

I recently got a Philips GoGear MP3 Player. It says I need to use Windows Media Player 10 in order to sync my music to the mp3 player. I currently have 11 which will not work. I rollback to the last version I had on my computer and it was MP 9.0. I installed the version 10 off of the disc that was provided with my mp3 player and I get some error that says... "This version of Windows Media Technologies is incompatible with this version of Windows." I have windows xp and MP11 worked fine for everything else I used it for except sync music and pictures to my mp3 player. So how come 10 doesn't work?.. I'd really appreciate any feedback.

If you rolled back from WMP 11 to WMP 9.0 you do not have SP 2 installed. Install the service pack and you will have the correct WMP 10...
