but i am using nero version 6+ and it does not convert for me the file when i try to burn into a dvd.

btw i am trying to make it into video dvd not a data dvd.

Look up Nero in your Start > Programs menu, you should see nero in there. In one of the submenus, you should see Nero Vision Express. If not, then you don't have it. Look through the CDs that came with your computer or DVD burner, whatever the case. If you don't have one and you bought your computer with the DVD drive in, call up your manufacturer and tell them that they forgot your Nero CD.
Burning the AVI file in a Data DVD is not going to solve your problem, it must be a DVD authoring program.
