hi, i'm new in this forum, im from chile. my problem is that i deleted all the information of my pc, and now i cant hear any sound. i have a sound card, it is a onboard ac97. ¿How can i fix this problem?? do i need to use any software??? Thanks

Hi Figeroa,
Welcome to PCHF. Yes you will need drivers. Do you know what onboard AC97 your using, Realtek, VIA, ADI Soundmax? Realtek is the most popular. Also, what version of Windows are you using?

im using via. i tried to download some drivers, but i cant fix anything. really i had a cd with the driver. it was some kind pc 400 , dont really know. unfortunately i lost this cd, im searching for it everywere in my house but cant find it. i dont really know what to do =/
