General Software - msn messenger/windows live messenger posted in the Software forums; I'm not even sure where I'm spose to post this one. I have windows live messenger and before that i had msn messenger. I can't seem to see my packs ...

Default msn messenger/windows live messenger
I'm not even sure where I'm spose to post this one. I have windows live messenger and before that i had msn messenger. I can't seem to see my packs or download them. I have tried everything from unistalling and reinstalling....then removing it completely ..also i made a new screen name with the new messenger. Nothing seems to work. My sister keeps sending these cool packs with emoticons and winks in them. I would like to download those. On the main windows live messenger i click on the packs button and a box pops up and asks do i want to install..i click install then it says installation failed. what gives? can someone help me please? thanks

Hi kay.

Try clearing your Internet Explorer's cache by going to Tools -> Internet options -> Temporary Internet Files -> Delete files. This has worked for some.

Yea, I have already tried that too. When the packs first came out in msn messenger..i believe it was 7.5.0299 i could see and download them but when the version after that or an update or something came out that is when i couldnt see them or download them anymore. i just don't understand it. I did a clean install again after that and nothing worked. Someone told me i should make a new profile on windows...would that work, if so how do i do that?

Never heard of this problem before, and I, to be honest, haven't got a clue what's going on here.

I have encountered this problem before and didnt find a cure for it. Instead once when i logged on everything loaded up, i could download packs and all that kind of stuff. So im sorry that i dont know how to fix it, but all i can remember doing is living with it and waiting. and i did try a clean install and it didnt work. Obviously if someone else knows why this stupid thing happens i would love to know
