Ok, but since I haven't added any components do you think we should rule out the PSU?

Also I'm a bit confused with the Motherboard Monitor. It asked me for the make and model of my motherboard and I don't know how to find that. So I pressed cancel and it still installed anyway and it seems to work. So just let me know what you'd like me to do with that. Thanks.

Hey Jerry,

It's a pretty good idea to know what you have on your PC. If you download Belarc from my signature, and run it, you will get more information about what you have then you will know what to do with. It is an HTML page, but it is run from your PC, so no one else can see it. Good program.

As far as the PSU is concerned, that's why I wanted to get a second opinion on the temps from Motherboard Monitor. If you are running that hot, it could be that you need more fans. However, the PSU could also be starting to go bad, even if you haven't added any hardware to your PC.

So, yes please post the temps that MOBO Mon, is running, and we'll wait for Joe to chime in with what he was looking for.

Looking forward to your reply,

Ok thanks. Now can you please provide me with an example screen shot of the MOBO just as you did with SpeedFan so that I know what to show you?

Once I hear back from you I'll get that for you, and in the meantime wait for Joe. Thank You.

I dont see any codecs or codecs packs installed , try installing one of those that i linked to.

But it seems like there is probebly only 8mb of ram dedicated to the vga chip , i would recommend to bootup in youre bios (tap "del" on bootup) and change the video (vga) memory size to atleast 16 or 32 mb.

Then after that rightclick on an empty place on youre desktop , select "properties" , and then "settings" , below "color quality" select 32bit and press apply.

See if the prob is still there then.

Thank you Joe. I'll try what you have suggested, and I'll continue to work with LGW regarding the Temps to see if there is a problem there.

I just have a question for you though, regarding the codecs you want me to install do you want me to install all of them or just one? And how do I go about doing that? Do I just download them and they take care of themselves or do I have to do something with them after they are downloaded?

Just one , try the "standard" one:

http://codecpack.nl/klcodec272s.exe

Just download it and double click on it to install it , you dont have to do anything with them after installation. Just watch a video the normal way with the player you normally us after installing.

Ok thank you. One more question if I may, I'm having problems changing the VGA settings. I restart the computer and click delete during bootup but I'm getting nothing. What am I doing wrong?
