General Software - Norton Ghost keep on running! posted in the Software forums; I have installed Norton Ghost on my desk top - everthing installed ok, however after the system has backed up GhostTray.exe keeps on running in the background takingup all 100% ...

Default Norton Ghost keep on running!

I have installed Norton Ghost on my desk top - everthing installed ok, however after the system has backed up GhostTray.exe keeps on running in the background takingup all 100% cpu and slowing everything down - how can I prevent this from hapening?

If you don't use the GhostTray facility (i.e: you open Ghost manually) you can remove it from startup by unchecking it in Start > run > msconfig > startup tab.

I would prefer to leave it set to run automatically.

In that case you may need to submit a support ticket to Norton as this may be a "patchable" fault.
