Default [Resolved] Macomedia Flash 8

When clicking on a news item on AOL I continually get a message that a script in a movie is causing M/M 8 to run slowly...I have to click on the pop up several times to get rid of it...On the Macromedia site as of 3/31/06 it says they are aware of the problem and working with AOL to solve it...They say i t is not a problem with the software.
However AOL says it is not their problem and just refers me back to Macromedia....They can't both be right...What to do?

Hi Nick!
Welcome to PC Helpforum!

I suggest to wait for a while as Macromedia say they're aware, and that's message is 5 days old. Perhaps you should wait for a while.
Other members may have other suggestions anyway.

Blue

I think that's the best way either.

I waited until the 14th. of April and then contacted AOL again...They said they are aware of the problem and are working to correct it...I have had this problem for almost a month and it is worse than ever...How long should one have to wait until this problem is solved?

Hmmm...seems like you're in the hands of AOL here. You can remove script error messages on web pages by;

Open IE > Tools > Internet Options > advanced Tab > Under the "Browsing" section put a check in "Disable Script debugging" - at least it may stop the annoying messages.

All of a sudden AOL seems to be working alright...Did not receive any notice from AOL or Macromedia that it had been fixed..Thanks for all the help from this board...I really appreciate it.
