Default [Fixed] iTunes - Simple Question

Hello, I haven't been here in a couple of months, but it's nice to be back. I really like the look of the forum.

Anyway, on to my question.

Everytime I open iTunes, it asks me if I want iTunes to be the default player for audio files. I click yes everytime, but once I close iTunes or restart my computer, the files are Windows Media default.

How can I make it so that iTunes is permanently my default player for audio files? A simple click on yes should have done it, am I right?

Hey there SF - nice to see you back

Ok, you should associate the files you want to play thru the iTunes player...so....

Right click on the Start button > explore > at the top Tools > Folder Options > Files Types tab > Click on the media file (which ever ones you want to play in iTunes, so maybe MP3) then click on change and then select iTunes as the program to use with that file...repeat for all relevant files.

Also, just make sure before you do all that - you are putting a check in the box before you click "yes" on that box above aren't you?
