Hey guys, since I have to 4 connections running through my router(that the maximum it will take), I have to disable the wireless connection on my PC in order to use it on my laptop, my laptop has a hotkey at the top and pressing this can turn the transmiter on/off at a touch, I was wondering if anyones knows if there is a kinda program/software that will let me do this with my desktop, so I can meybe assign a hotkey i.e F12 and this will turn the wireless on/off, thanks alot and any help is much appretuated, if someone can hook me up with a solution I will be more than happy to make them a nice personalised forum signiture, im quite good at Graphics lol

Hi Immortal_tech welcome to the PCHF forum and enjoy your stay.

With regards to your problem, there isn't any way i know of that can assign a hotkey to a specific program that can open it or close it. I do know that special built Keyboards for gamers can do that, like those WoW keyboards.

Maybe not exactly what you want but close:


Go to Start
Go to "My Network Places"
Click on "View Network Connections"
Find "Wireless Network Connection"
Right Click and drag it off to the desktop.
Select "create shortcut here".
Now, you can right click on that icon and enable or disable it.



PS, Nice sig's there. But two of them is abit to much , please select one and remove the other.
