What is the technique for breaking a large media file such as a movie into more than one part. I have several files that will not fit on a CD and therefore I cannot transfer. I need to divide it into two, how is this done?

You could burn it onto DVD if you have a DVD+RW, otherwise you can split the file using this program below.

You can specify what size you want the split to be, for example if it is a 800MB file then you can split it into 400MB each. The thing you need to remember is to copy the program onto the CD so that whereever you take it, you can copy back on to the computer and join them together again.

The only other way I know that you can do it is by using software like Adobe Premier and actually split the movie into 2, and save them as 2 seperate files.
