Hey there

As I don't use WMP (Winamp 4 me!!) what does this window look like and when does it pop up?

Go to Tools menu -> Options -> Preformance tab -> Advanced button, and disable Use overlays under Video Acceleration. Close Media Player and restart or click on another web media link. The ActiveMovie Window is gone.
