Default Legal Music Software

Have you been using limewire or another program to illegally download songs?

Well i have a legal free solution to all your problems. A program called spotify allows you to listen to of 1 million songs for 'FREE' and a great range of songs at that.

Spotify is a program that you download and when you wish to use it, you load it up sign in and can make playlists etc then you minimise to taskbar and leave the program to happily stream the songs you love. Plus the songs are played in high quality.

So whats the catch?

Well every 4-6 songs you get a advertisement lasting about 10seconds. I don't really notice it as im so deep in what im doing i switch off to the music and relax.

The other downside, and i maybe wrong about this but for all your americans out there, there is no service for you. I know FINALLY europe has somthing before america. Wooooooooooo

the website link is Spotify ? A world of music. Instant, simple and free - program and website 100% virus free.

Not heard much about this service but will likely give it a try and let you know what I think. Sounds like an interesting idea

i use pandora since its good to play a wide variety of my personal fav music. But you can't actually "download" unless you use a P2P program like Limewire, unless you pay for it. Which come on, who actually pays for ALL their songs in their library.....

Along the same lines as Pandora, there is Jango:

Jango - Free Music -- Listen to Music Online - Internet Radio

My school used the RUCKUS network:

to prevent the student body downloading illegally which we were cited for (yes, it DOES happen)

These have been available here (USA) for a couple of years in various flavors. Create a playlist and listen to someone else's tunes. I personally want to own the music I listen to, so I buy and immediately download songs one-at-a-time from Amazon for $0.99/each or the whole CD for less than a store bought item, no DRM either.
