Solved: svchost.exe using over 200,000k...... - Page 3

Drdroopy,

Please go Start>Run

Type CMD

in the window that pops up type: regsvr32 /u resourcereports.dll>C:\Log.txt

A log will be created at the root of your C:\ drive.

Copy and paste that log back here. Also, let me know how things are running now please

seems to be running a bit smoother, internet as well, svchost.exe is back down to about 125k rather then 200k. Thank you for all your assistance!!!

No problem at all drdroopy.

Please download and run OTC (formerly OTCleanIt) from here:
http://oldtimer.geekstogo.com/OTC.exe

Click the Clean Up! button
This will remove any files and folders associated with some of the more destructive programs I have had you run
A reboot will be required to complete the removal.

Once that's done, if there are no more issues, or questions I can answer I'll move this to the Fixed Logs forum
