Hi Damo, "AMD Athlon" is the make of the CPU. Can you see if you can find the make and model of the PC on a sticky label somewhere? or is this a custom built PC?
No, the printer is fine. Another popular cause of these random error codes you listed earlier is faulty memory. Instructions for testing memory can be found here: http://www.pchelpforum.com/memory/58...nload-run.html If memory comes back clear, I think your next best option is to perform a repair install using your Windows Setup CD. Since there are unlimited causes of blue screens, we really need to get back into Windows to perform some further diagnostics. A repair install might be all you need. |

BatMonkey maybe!
![]() Recovery Console is good for fixing problems, as long as we knew what we were actually fixing. When you get to the first part of Windows setup, where it asks you if you want to Repair or Set up Windows XP, press [Enter]. Then, on the next screen, press -R- to "repair the selected Windows XP installation". And let the repair install take place. |

Hi there batmonkey :P
I really am quite worried as when i got my friends computer home and pluged it in to my tv it did the same and everything started going werid with his PC and its brand new, I could how ever boot via safe mode which didnt make much sense to me, It keeps saying out of range on the tv when it trys to start ? its connected via a vga lead thou so there is nothing to be out of range and why would it boot ok in safe mode and not say out of range ? Anyway, i am now on my pc connected to my old monitor, and am in safe mode at the mo, Mcafee is saying there are probs but wont let me fix them, all is just really werid ![]() But as i say i am on the prob PC now and in safe mode so i can find out what ever necessiry about this pc for you, This may sound mad but it feels like someone eles is controling my pc and they got in thru my sky box or the tv, lol is that even possible ? i am sure my credit card probs have sumin to do with all this hassle, just havent got a clue whats going on ![]() i am In your hands monkey

And recently ive tryed to delete stuf and it either hasnt let me saying need admin authorisation, or changed it only 5 secs later to change it back, All is very strange, feel like crying
