I've been trying to get to a point where I can try and boot in safe mood but haven't managed to do so yet. I'd like to avoid loosing all my data if possible as well.
If push comes to shove, I'll have to do that. Though I don't think I have a CD to boot from.

Keep me posted as to your progress. Keep trying to get into Safe Mode. I'd hate to have you reformat as well. I like to keep that as a last resort

I actually managed to get it into Safe Mode, however, I don't know what to do after that. I can't get on line with it for some reason (even after picking Safe Mode with Networking) so I don't know what to do next to try and help my computer. I did a Spybot scan while in Safe Mode and apparently the Virtumondo is still there. I was hoping someone could help me at least get my computer able to connect to the internet while in Safe Mode so I can download updates to Malware and such, plus view this site on my own computer.
I don't think it's the connection either because this computer (same house, same connection) goes online just fine. |

Let's see if your computer is receiving a connection. Go into Start>Run
Type CMD in the box that pops up type ping "127.0.0.1" without the quotes.

Doing that didn't work. The lil box came up and I typed in the 127.0.0.1 but it said something about it not being found or something. Perhaps I did it wrong, I dunno.
I'm not used to working with the CMD thing. |

You're right, I didn't. I did this time. It said "Packets sent = 4, Recieved = 4, Lost = 0."
Also, an error popped up for svchost.exe. Said intruction 0x0082101x and memory 0x00730000 couldn't be read. (or something along those lines) And says click OK to report or just hit Cancel. No matter whichone I click, my computer has to restart. NT Authorization or something like that. |
