Default CPU rins at 100%

Every so often often my CPU will run at 100%, and then after a couple of minutes will just hang, so I have to hit the power button, then retsart, then everything is ok. I have several images created with acronis disk, and now I am using my first good known state which was taken in February 2008, but I still get the cpu problem, so maybe its a hardware fault? I have an HUAWEI E220 external USB modem, (which vista keeps tellinbg me to update, but I cannot as I think its locked to tmobile), and I installed 1 gig of ram about 4 months ago.

So here are my two log files, from dss, thanks in advance
