Ok.. made some changes, got Avast! installed & updating, SpywareBlaster... Quicktime was a pill to get going. Seems the site was having probs. 'Course dial-up doesn't help. But got that updated. Anywho, my new Hijack log.

Please run HijackThis and place a tick by the following entries:
R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {4D25F926-B9FE-4682-BF72-8AB8210D6D75} - C:\Program Files\MyWaySA\SrchAsDe\1.bin\deSrcAs.dll (file missing)
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {4D25F921-B9FE-4682-BF72-8AB8210D6D75} - (no file)

Also check this if your administrator or Spybot S&D did not set this restriction:
O6 - HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control Panel present



Close all other windows except HijackThis and press "Fix Checked". Then close HijackThis and reboot the PC.



Post a new HijackThis log in your reply.

Nope, things are working better on this system than they ever have. ('cept for my typing! LoL still getting used to a finger that don't work) Just checking back through as I made some changes. This one doesn't belong to me, I'm working on it for a friend, but in the process I get to use it to at least check my mail and such. Mine still needs a power supply.

Oh man did I mess that up! Had the whole thing wrote out and lost it.. oh well... here goes again!!

Ran Avast! tonight and it found a few issues. I can see where 4 of them are in a file from the scanner we used to fix this thing, but the ones in the restore concern me . Figure I need to dump those and all the restore points again, right? Well, new HJ log and the Avast! log as well. I'm sure you'll let me know!

Oh, sorry for the extra log entries in Avast!. Got a little cleaning to do. The ones from 07 are the only ones I'm looking at.
