Smile [Resolved] Annoying Pop Ups
Hi all,


Recently i have been recieving the most annoying pop up advertisments. On a very regular basis

I have done a full system scan using AVG internet sercurity 8 and nothing has been detected. So do u think it's a programe i don't know about or just a virus/spyware etc that AVG cant detect?

Most of the pop ups have CiD in their title.

Hi and welcome to PCHF
have you got Windows Live Messenger PLUS installed generally CiD pop ups appear when this is installed.

Also try running CCleaner download from here: CCleaner - Home
Post results back.

Uninstalled messenger Plus and ran cCleaner.

All appears to be working fine again. Thanks very much

Glad it is fixed.Robbie if you reinstall plus then do not click install third party software etc this is were the popups came from.
