Was reading some of the post's for checking and cleaning malware. Came across one thread that suggested using combofix. So I tried it. Since I tried it ,y clock has changed to 24 hr mode and I can't seem to change it back, not even in my bios. any suggestions on how to return it to a 12hr clock?

Found the "fix" and the original problem. For those that try things on their own the term "buyer beware" comes to mind.
After doing a little searching and then going to another site on how to "use" Combofix I found the problem. The first, not reading directions close enough. and second. I didn't have the recovery console installed.

I re-ran combofix and now my clock is back to normal.

It stops the clock and other stuff for a reason.When it runs it will do the below inorder to most effectively perform its job:

• It will terminate some running processes.
• It will set your clock to a 24 hour setting (will be restored to normal when finished running properly)
• It will disconnect your PC from the internet.

I take it you did not read the Combofix download site about not running it without supervision....

Actually when I downloaded combofix it was from a different thread and didn't mention anything at all about going to the website and read about how to use it.
Found that info in a different thread about HJT
