Naw my printer is a Brother

I did find the file in the itunes folder once I took it out of the trash tho. By emptying the contents into the trash of each folder (ipod, itunes and qt) I was able to trash them. Then I renamed the three folders and I was able to trash them. Before renaming them I was told I didn't have permission to trash them.

so far I haven't had one since I got home an hour or so ago with the exception of the crash while trying to get rid of the qt installer package using add/remove

I looked in the hijackthis section but didn't see anything there on my issue...was I looking in the wrong place?

Download Deckard's System Scanner to your desktop:
http://www.techsupportforum.com/sect...eckard/dss.exe

Make sure all running programs and Windows Explorer windows are closed.
Double-click on dss.exe to run it,then follow the prompts.
The scan may take a few minutes to complete.

When the scan has finished,a text file will open 'main.txt'.

Please Note:
When running Deckard's System Scanner, some firewalls may warn that sigcheck.exe is trying to access the internet, please ensure that you allow sigcheck.exe permission to do so.
Also,it may happen that your Antivirus flags Deckard's System Scanner as suspicious.
Please allow the Deckard's System Scanner to run and don't let your Antivirus delete it.
(If necessary temporarily disable/turn off your Antivirus program).

Post the main.txt and extra.txt from the Deckard's System Scanner into your next reply please.

What Deckard's System Scanner will do:
create a new System Restore point in Windows XP and Vista.

clean your Temporary Files, Downloaded Program Files, and Internet Cache Files, and also empty the Recycle Bin on all drives.

check some important areas of your system and produce a report for your analyst to review.
Deckard's System Scanner automatically runs HijackThis for you, but it will also install and place a shortcut to HijackThis on your desktop if you do not already have HijackThis installed.

OK Here's the Main.txt...there was none named Extra though

Now to add to the story. None of my video games will start up. I double click the icon or shortcut, the screen goes black for a moment, then it turns gray. While gray I see the hourglass mouse icon and I can move it but its not recording any progress (ie the sand isn't moving in the glass) and I need to cntrl-alt-del to get out.

what in gods name is going on here?
