Default Blue screening, Software buuffer & windows installer problems

Hi, I am having a few problems. This is my first time on a forum so i hope i get it right and don't upset you pro's and look forward to your help.

On startup my McAfee shows a screen saying Buffer overflow blocked "c:\\windows\system32\services.exe" this pops up on every reboot of windows, very annoying. It asks to close this alert or trust this activity in the future, i close it every time.

I also get a message saying "windows is installing bluetooth software" then another screen appears asking for the CD to be inserted. I don't have the CD it is looking for. Plus i don't want the Widcomm bluetooth software it is looking for.

The worst and worrying one is when i do a registry check/clean, my computer blue screens on me. This happens on 3 separate programs i check my registry on

This is my Hijack this log

Logfile of Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.2

Thanks for the welcome Mad Matt, you seem a friendly bunch
I have done the prework as recommended by the forum
I attach the reports from AVG which was not successful which i done in safe mode. then i re-booted in normal mode and done the scan again with same results.

When windows boots up i get a Windows installer screen pop up with a message "preparing to install Widcomm bluetooth software" this is more of annoyance rather than harmful. This occurred after i installed windows Office 2007 replacing my windows office 2000xp.

The buffer overflow has not appeared again with about 4 or 5 reboots

The bluescreening message is as follows.
Driver_IRQL_net_less_or_equal
followed by
Stop:0X000000D1 (0XC0300000, 0X000000FF, 0X00000000, 0X02BD1096)

Also attached is the new Hijack log

Thanks

Hello,

Do you recognize these settings:

O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{0B0BC4C5-9C65-431B-AD23-2644045F2F65}: NameServer = 4.2.2.2,4.2.2.1
O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{DDFE032D-AEF0-4192-B9ED-FB09E87CCD2F}: NameServer = 4.2.2.2,4.2.2.1
O17 - HKLM\System\CS1\Services\Tcpip\..\{0B0BC4C5-9C65-431B-AD23-2644045F2F65}: NameServer = 4.2.2.2,4.2.2.1

Download Deckard's System Scanner to your desktop:
http://www.techsupportforum.com/sect...eckard/dss.exe

Make sure all running programs and Windows Explorer windows are closed.
Double-click on dss.exe to run it,then follow the prompts.
The scan may take a few minutes to complete.

When the scan has finished,a text file will open 'main.txt'.

Please Note:
When running Deckard's System Scanner, some firewalls may warn that sigcheck.exe is trying to access the internet, please ensure that you allow sigcheck.exe permission to do so.
Also,it may happen that your Antivirus flags Deckard's System Scanner as suspicious.
Please allow the Deckard's System Scanner to run and don't let your Antivirus delete it.
(If necessary temporarily disable/turn off your Antivirus program).

Post the main.txt from the Deckard's System Scanner into your next reply please. (Do not post the extra.txt - only post extra.txt when being asked)

What Deckard's System Scanner will do:
create a new System Restore point in Windows XP and Vista.

clean your Temporary Files, Downloaded Program Files, and Internet Cache Files, and also empty the Recycle Bin on all drives.

check some important areas of your system and produce a report for your analyst to review.
Deckard's System Scanner automatically runs HijackThis for you, but it will also install and place a shortcut to HijackThis on your desktop if you do not already have HijackThis installed.

Hello, the only thing i recognize is the numbers at the end. they are or were the DNS server address for my broadband but on checking now it seems to be run automatically by windows and the numbers are no longer in the settings of the DNS box. I have just swapped ISP's within the last month!

Thanks

It sounds like you may have an out-of-date driver. Please go here for a free scan to check your drivers. If it states that any are out-of-date, you can post that information here.
