ok , i did all the " pre-work" and everything ran ok except avg and superantispyware both failed to create a log. HJT did create a log and it is attached. on startup a weird window pops up that has nothing in it except a red circle with an X in it and a button to click that says ok. also on startup svchost.exe uses 100% cpu and it doesn't stop until I shut it off in task manager.

Rerun HJT and have it fix these items

Then download counterspy from below and have it runa full system scan and post the log that it has after it finishes.. It might take awhile though but it will get rid of everything..

ok ran hjt again and had it fix what you wanted then, downloaded counterspy and ran it but no log to up load from it. have not noticed any difference though in computer. still have this weird window on start up and 100% cpu usage that doesn't go away either.also i can't attach the new log from hjt here for some reason.

yes counterspy found quite a few things and cleaned them up. i have the hjt log in notepad which i can copy and paste to another reply if you want. when i tried clicking on the paperclip on my last reply it kept saying error on page. let me know what you would like me to do . thanks

also ran counterspy again to post thumbnail and now it says there is nothing detected. oh and i got the attachments to work so here is the HJT log from last run.

did some digging and was able to find the combofix log. not sure if this is from the first time i ran it or the second time when it said system is clean though.

obviously merlin has been busy with his real job so if someone else would jump in and give me some direction on what to do next would be greatly appreciated.
