I know that we use TM here at work, and we have to go through some pretty rigourous steps in the registry to get rid of it. Dunno if you want to go that route or not, but it's generally does a pretty good job of removing trend micro. I would only attempt it if you were pretty comfortable manipulating the registry.

Saving that, I'd call TM and ask for detailed instructions on how to remove it. They may have a tool that does all the registry stuff for you.

yeah valis thanks. i went to their website and in the tech support guidelines was a tool to use that removed it finally. unfortunately still no change in performance on startup and that stupid little window is still there. anyone have any more suggestions it would be greatly appreciated !

window doesn't say anything. just a red dot with an x in it and a button to click that says ok.here is a screenshot of it. thanks jellybean

Ahhh yes i remember the little window popup.Have you checked running prosesses when that window has popped up.Look in task manager.

well the window is there now and processes running under task manager is a list that is quite long so, not sure what to look for. also, this thing pops up before i can launch task manager.

Ok when it pops up open task manager and you can search using this link Virus, Spyware and Adware, Dialers, Hack tools, Hoaxes | Threat Explorer

Type in a prosess and it should say wether its good or bad.
