Ok, i downloaded something off limewire the other day and pcillin found a virus called

"worm_vb.as"

I got rid of it. but i still cannot open any programs.

a message comes up and says:
"windows cannot access the specified device, path or tool. you may not have the apporiate permission to access this item"

Hi welcome to PCHF yes another Aussie!!! It sounds like it has done some thing to your permissions you will need to get you logs checked which sould happen soon as mentoned. But in the mean time this might get you going again go to start run and and reset you security setting back to defaults

You receive a "Task is completed" message, and a warning message that something could not be done. You can safely ignore this message.

I can see a couple of suspect thing in your logs but it's not my area the security staff are A1 here!

Is there ment to be spaces in between?

because i copy and pasted the command into run, and it says:

"windows cannot find "secedit". Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file Click start menu, and then click search."

It should work if you copy and paste it. I have had a bit of a read about the virus might be best to wait for the security staff.
