Default Trojan? problem

Hello,

Here is my attempt at the Prework. I guess the AVG directions are for using the paid version, not the free one? Anyway, my Prework are without a report from AVG. Just couldn't get it to work.

My computer is okay, but generates massive amounts of files that do nothing (I think) but slow everything down. I have been cleaning (Using CCLEANER and EASYCLEANER) before during and after any computer use. This seems to keep the computer from slowing down too much.

I originally ran a Microsoft scan (both usual and Safety mode) and now come up with this:

'7items and 4 Issues found'

Trojan:Java\ClassloaderD
" F
TrojanClicker: Win32/small
TrojanDownloader: Js/Istbar.gen

These cannot be cleaned by the scanner.

(another thought -- I was threatened a while ago by a player on an on-line game, who said he was going to 'lag' me.)

Now I can't attach a log as I get an error message when I click on the icon. achhh! It says 'popup refused'.
I then allowed pop-ups and still get the same message...

Help!
(Thanks in advance for any advice!)

Default Re: Trojan? problem

Please download HijackThis to your desktop.. http://www.trendsecure.com/portal/en...HJTInstall.exe
Alternate link
http://download.bleepingcomputer.com...HJTInstall.exe
This program will help us determine if there are any spyware/malware on your computer. Double-click on the file you just downloaded.
Click on the "Unzip" button to install. It will by default install to the directory - C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis
Upon install, HijackThis should open for you.
Should it not open, navigate to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis and double click on HijackThis.exe
1. If it gives you an intro screen, just choose 'Do a system scan and save a logfile'.
2. If you don't get the intro screen, just hit Scan and then click on Save log.
3. Post the hijackthis.log file here. Do not fix anything in HijackThis since they may be harmless.

========================

Download Combofix from any of the links below, and save it to your desktop. For further information regarding this download you can see this on this Information Page
Link 1
Link 2
Link 3

**Note: It is important that it is saved directly to your desktop**
1. Close any open browsers.
2. Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix.
Double click on combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
  • When finished, it will produce a report for you.
  • Please post the "C:\ComboFix.txt" along with a new HijackThis log for further review.
Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it's running. That may cause it to stall

Caution...Never run and remove files using ComboFix without being supervised by a security analyst.

Hello Pancake and thanks for your reply.

I'm sorry to be such a newb, but I do have HIjackthis already and have gotten a report, but I can't figure out how to attach it here!

When I hit the 'attach' icon, I get the message, 'a pop-up window was blocked'.

How do I post my Hijackthis report?
