Things are not looking good at all. You better make copies of all your stuff in case a reformat/reinstall is called for. I will do some more research and post back when I think I found something.

Please run the F-Secure Online Scanner

Note: This scanner is for Internet Explorer only :!:

Follow the instructions here for installation.
Accept the License Agreement.
Once the ActiveX installs, click Full System Scan
Once the download completes, the scan will begin automatically.
The scan will take some time to finish, so please be patient.

When the scan completes, click the Automatic cleaning (recommended) button.

Click the Show Report button and copy and paste the entire report in your next reply.

Yikes! IE is blocked from the site - "IE cannot display the webpage" and it only works with IE. I tried to use firefox anyway and it said it can't be run. I installed the IE tab add-on into firefox and when set to access this site as an IE site it couldn't get to it.

How likely do you think it is that f-secure will be of benefit? How good is the package? I am inclined to purchase it if would save me from a re-format.

What if I did a system restore from a checkpoint from several months ago?

Do you still have a check point from that long ago?

I believe I do - this problem only started within the past couple of months as far as I am aware.
