Hi all , I'm new to this site and I'm new to the whole computer thing , I'm trying to learn by reading a lot and hands on , anyway ...... I have a fairly new computer about 6 months old that was built for me , Its Windows Vista , 160 gig hard drive , 3.something processer and 2 gig of ram , ...... the pc is always on , i rarely shut it down , lately I have been having a problem with it freezing on me , or should I say slows down on me or stops on me , but it only happens for short periods , ......... in a matter of a half hour it will freeze and stop 5 to 20 times , when it freezes or stops it goes on for anywhere from a minute or two , and then starts back up , it freezes on just about everything , it will freeze or stop when on a website and I click on something , it will freeze and stop opening documents , playing windows media and etc , but like i said everytime it stops it does start back up , it seems like the pc is having a hard time loading or doing whatever it suppose to do , I did a virus check and it found nothing , is there any idea what this could be from this strange explaination I wrote down , sorry to all the pc experts about the way I explained this , but like I said I'm a newbie to this stuff , .......Thank you to all who reply
