I completed the prework and have attached the logs from HijackThis and SUPERAntiSpyware. I inadvertantly left the AVG reports option "Only if threats were found" checked, so I did not get a log. It took almost three hours to run, so I decided not to run it again for a log unless you need it.

Problem still persists.

hello wizard, hope that all finds you well today.

log looks pretty clean......let's dig a bit deeper:

Download ComboFix from Here or Here to your Desktop.
  • Double click combofix.exe and follow the prompts.
  • When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log and a HiJackthis log in your next reply
Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window while its running. That may cause it to stall

thanks,

v

I downloaded and ran ComboFix. After it went through all it stages I got a message stating that it was preparing the report. Then the screen went blank and stayed that way for about 15 minutes with the computer seeming to be doing nothing. The mouse did move the cursor (arrow) and the Alt-tab did work. It allowed me to change to IE which was open, but I had no Internet connection.

I used the hardware power button and the PC shut down with a normal Windows power down. I then turned the PC on and everything seems normal, except it did not change the clock back as promised. Of course I got no log and the original problem still persists. I then ran HijackThis and the log is attached
