Follow the steps outlined here to assign your user permission (Full Control) and make sure your user is the owner of the following registry keys:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT
HKEY_CURRENT_USER
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
HKEY_USERS

Then try again.

Click Start>Run then type regedit

Highlight HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT
Click on it
Choose Edit
Click Preferences
Select your user
Select Allow for FULL CONTROL

Let me know if you have any problems with those steps.

Failure again as you will see from the attached files.

I ran the whole thing in safe mode, logged on as Administrator

HKCR was full control for Everyone
HKCU was full control for Administrators
HKLM was full control for Administrators
HKU was full control for Administrators

There is something I don't get!

Thank you for your continuous support.

Let's try this:
  1. Download the SubInACL tool and install it. By default it will install to c:\Program Files\Windows Resource Kits\Tools
  2. Go to the Start menu, choose Run, type cmd and click OK
  3. Type notepad reset.cmd and click yes to create a new file named reset.cmd
  4. Copy and paste the following contents into reset.cmd and then save and close it:

    cd /d "%programfiles%\Windows Resource Kits\Tools"
    subinacl /subkeyreg HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE /grant=administrators=f /grant=system=f
    subinacl /subkeyreg HKEY_CURRENT_USER /grant=administrators=f /grant=system=f
    subinacl /subkeyreg HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT /grant=administrators=f /grant=system=f
    subinacl /subdirectories %SystemDrive% /grant=administrators=f /grant=system=f
    subinacl /subdirectories %windir%\*.* /grant=administrators=f /grant=system=f
  5. Type reset.cmd and press enter to run the SubInACL tool (you will need to have adminstrator privileges for this to run correctly). This tool will take several minutes to run
  6. After reset.cmd completes, try to install the product that previously failed to install correctly on your system

Reset failed. I have included a screen capture. The first message is in French and indicates an invalid security ID structure.

I was running as Administrator or «Administrateur» in French in Safe Mode.

Thanks
