Sorry for the delay...as usual I'm unable to download these applications from my home PC, the infected one. I had to download OTMOVEIT at work, save to my external drive, and load on this PC.

But two problems occured. When I carried out the first half of your instructions -- pasting the two command lines in OTMOVEIT and hitting the MoveIT button, I got an error message that neither file could be found.

Then, when attempting to drag the CFScript.txt into ComboFix, I got an error message that ComboFix is out of date...and immediately it disappeared from my computer! I got a message that it had been removed. And I can't download from the links above because -- just like before -- I can't download these applications on my infected PC! So tomorrow I'll need to download ComboFix again and bring home on my external drive.

In the meantime, what should I do about OTMoveIt not finding those files? Thanks!

ComboFix self uninstalls after ten days because its always being updated. One needs to download the latest version but that cannot be done for the monent due to technical problems. We will now need to do an online scan.

Go to Kaspersky Online Scanner
Answer Yes, when prompted to install an ActiveX component.
  • The program will then begin downloading the latest definition files.
  • Once the files have been downloaded click on NEXT
  • Locate the Scan Settings button & configure to:
    • Scan using the following Anti-Virus database:
      • Extended
    • Scan Options:
      • Scan Archives
      • Scan Mail Bases
  • Click OK & have it scan My Computer
  • Once the scan is complete, it will display if your system has been infected. It does not provide an option to clean/disinfect. We only require a report from it.
  • Click the Save as Text button to save the file to your desktop so that you may post it in your next reply
* Turn off the real time scanner of any existing antivirus program while performing the online scan

Default Re: Hijack this log -- malicious malaware must die!!

Please download the OTMoveIt by OldTimer
Save it to your desktop.
Please double-click OTMoveIt.exe to run it
Copy the file paths below to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose copy):

C:\WINDOWS\zgvnwxk.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\TQ0\am52.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\T1QaSQ\T1QaSQ1065.exe
C:\WINDOWS\cktrd0578.exe
C:\WINDOWS\hawub0578.exe
C:\WINDOWS\lazrm0578.exe

Return to OTMoveIt, right click on the "Paste List of Files/Folders to be moved" window and choose Paste.
Click the red Moveit! button.
Close OTMoveIt
If a file or folder cannot be moved immediately you may be asked to reboot the machine to finish the move process. If you are asked to reboot the machine choose Yes.

==================================
Let's reset system restore
Reset and Re-enable your System Restore to remove infected files that have been backed up by Windows. The files in System Restore are protected to prevent any programs changing those files. This is the only way to clean these files: You will lose all previous restore points which are likely to be infected. Please note you need Administrator Access to do clean the restore points.

A To disable the System Restore feature:
1. Click on the Start button.
2. Go to My Computer icon on the desktop, right click on it and then click Properties.
3. On the left hand side, click Advanced Settings.
4. If asked to permit the action, click on Allow.
5. Click on the System Protection tab.
6. Uncheck any checkboxes listed for your hard drives.
7. Press OK.

B. Reboot.
C Turn ON System Restore.
Follow the steps like you did when disabling system restore but on step 6. check any checkboxes listed for your hard drives.
========================================

Download and scan with CCleaner

1. Starting with v1.27.260, CCleaner installs the Yahoo Toolbar as an option which IS checkmarked by default during the installation. IF you do NOT want it, REMOVE the checkmark when provided with the option OR download the toolbar-free Basic or Slim versions instead of the Standard Build.
2. Before first use, select Options > Advanced and UNCHECK "Only delete files in Windows Temp folder older than 48 hours"
3. Then select the items you wish to clean up.

In the Windows Tab:
• Clean all entries in the "Internet Explorer" section except Cookies.
• Clean all the entries in the "Windows Explorer" section.
• Clean all entries in the "System" section.
• Clean all entries in the "Advanced" section.
• Clean any others that you choose.

In the Applications Tab:
• Clean all except cookies in the Firefox/Mozilla section if you use it.
• Clean all in the Opera section if you use it.
• Clean Sun Java in the Internet Section.
• Clean any others that you choose.
4. Click the "Run Cleaner" button.
5. A pop up box will appear advising this process will permanently delete files from your system.
6. Click "OK" and it will scan and clean your system.
7. Click "exit" when done.

Default Re: Hijack this log -- malicious malaware must die!!

These files may not be present so lets see what happens..

Go to Add/Remove, and if found, uninstall the following:
Spyware Nuker
INAC<<<---do you know what this is?? If so, leave it.
Pokerstars
FullContact Poker

1) Please download the Killbox.
Save it to the desktop and run it.

2) Select "Delete on Reboot", and then select "All files".

3) Copy the file names below to the clipboard by highlighting them and pressing Control-C:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\moyjvrlq.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\mngyvxm.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\yfeokcuv.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\madbeoxk.exe
C:\5ea9e6bb3d35941abe4490b72559b9
C:\WINDOWS\system32\lbkxtfkf.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\jnmgabaq.dll
C:\ea7849339f1d313e54b688
C:\WINDOWS\system32\hdfzkek.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\wineak32.dll
C:\Program Files\FullContactPoker
C:\WINDOWS\system32\unknown
C:\Program Files\PokerStars

4) Return to Killbox, go to the File menu, and choose "Paste from Clipboard".

5) Click the red-and-white "Delete File" button. Click "Yes" at the Delete on Reboot prompt. Click "No" at the Pending Operations prompt.

**If you receive a message such as: "Component 'MsComCtl.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid." when trying to run Killbox, click here to download and run missingfilesetup.exe. Then try Killbox again.

Reboot and run ComboFix first, then HJT and post both logs back into this thread.

Default Re: Hijack this log -- malicious malaware must die!!

I still don't have ComboFix back, and still can't download it from the above links. So I'll have to wait to do the last part.

However to report on the first two steps...as you expected, none of those programs were listed in Add/REmove Programs, so I couldn't get rid of them.

For the second step, I had trouble with KillBox. I was unable to paste from the clipboard. No matter how many times I highlighted those files and copied, it wouldn't paste in the Kill Box form. So I had to do line by line. I think it was due to a size issue; I was only able to get up to C:\WINDOWS\system32\jnmgabaq.dll before I was unable to post anything else into KillBox. However I could delete those files...but when I restarted the PC to paste the remaining files, I got this error after pasting them in:

---------------------------
PendingFileRenameOperations
---------------------------
PendingFileRenameOperations Registry Data has been Removed by External Process!
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------
I downloaded and ran the missingilesetup.exe program above, but I get the same message from KillBox. So please let me know what I should do.

In the meantime, here's another Hijack This log:
