okay, first things first. You have 3 antivirus apps running (avast, AVG, and AntiVir); machines don't like more than one running, so you need to go to start > run > appwiz.cpl and remove 2 of them. It's entirely up to you which ones you remove, fwiw, I use AVG at the house on all my rigs, but then again, it's free. If you've paid for one, may as well keep that one.

Secondly, regarding the blue screen at startup, go to start > run > sysdm.cpl > advanced tab > startup and recovery box, settings button > system failure box > untick automatically restart. That will leave the blue screen on the monitor so you can write the details down. Then post the details of the error message, especially if it says anything about a file anything in .sys.

The logs pretty clean for now, but we'll go back to that after we get the other 2 AV's removed, and make the machine more stable.

thanks,

v

have you gone down to one antivirus yet? You don't want to run more than one, as their algorithms can play nasty with one another, and not get the job done.

Regardless, I'll mark this as fixed, and hope to see you around.

thanks,

v
