Exclamation Re: [Fixed] HELP Before I kill this computer

Another hit again. I did run avg, norton (waste of time), Hijack this.

I have attached a screen capture of what is popping up telling me that I have spyware on my system. Also Norton brought up saying it found a spyware in c:\windows\Exploeee.exe. When I open up a instance of internet explorer I get two instances.

Attached is my hijack this log:

Default Re: [Fixed] HELP Before I kill this computer

heyya rnewhouse.....good to see ya.

I'm going to have someone split this into it's own thread to avoid confusion (working in an answered thread and all), but for now let's take a look:

First, boot into safe mode and delete the following files/folders:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\printer.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\WinAvXX.exe
C:\Documents and Settings\Richard Newhouse\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows\rayiou.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\sulimo.dat

Next, download the enclosed folder. Save and extract its contents to the desktop. It is a folder containing a Registry Entries file, Regfix.reg . Once extracted, open the folder, rename it from Regfix.txt to Regfix.reg; double click on the Regfix.reg file and select Yes when prompted to merge it into the registry.

Next, start hjt, click 'perform system scan only', tick the following, click 'fix checked', then reboot and post another log:

F2 - REG:system.ini: Shell=Explorer.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\printer.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [WinAVX] C:\WINDOWS\system32\WinAvXX.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [SfKg6w] C:\Documents and Settings\Richard Newhouse\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows\rayiou.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [WinAVX] C:\WINDOWS\system32\WinAvXX.exe
O4 - Startup: system.exe
O4 - Global Startup: autorun.exe
O7 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Pol icies\System, DisableRegedit=1
O7 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Pol icies\System, DisableRegedit=1
O20 - AppInit_DLLs: C:\WINDOWS\system32\sulimo.dat
O20 - Winlogon Notify: mljhheb - mljhheb.dll (file missing)

Reboot, and post a new log. This one is a good one, richard.....my compliments.

thanks,

v

Default Re: hit again

Valis,
Well I have hit a stumbling block... even in safe mode that stupid popup shows up.
1) I cannot deleate C:\WINDOWS\system32\printer.exe
2) I cannot find C:\WINDOWS\system32\sulimo.dat
3) I double click on the file and saved it to my desktop. I then remamed it but it wants to open up in word pad. given me the following:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\System]
"DisableRegedit"=-

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Policies\System]
"DisableRegedit"=-

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows]
"AppInit_DLLs"=""

Thus I cannot go any further visa the above instructions. What am I doing wrong?

Richard

Default Re: hit again

1. Rename the file to 'regfix.reg'. Not .txt, or .doc, but regfix.reg.

2. Please download the Killbox by Option^Explicit.

Note: In the event you already have Killbox, this is a new version that I need you to download.
  • Save it to your desktop.
  • Please double-click Killbox.exe to run it.
  • Select:
    • Delete on Reboot
    • then Click on the All Files button.
  • Please copy the file paths below to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose copy):

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\printer.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\
    WinAvXX.exe
    C:\Documents and Settings\Richard Newhouse\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows\rayiou.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\sulimo.dat
  • Return to Killbox, go to the File menu, and choose Paste from Clipboard.
  • Click the red-and-white Delete File button. Click Yes at the Delete on Reboot prompt. Click OK at any PendingFileRenameOperations prompt (and please let me know if you receive this message!).

If your computer does not restart automatically, please restart it manually.

If you receive a message such as: "Component 'MsComCtl.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid." when trying to run Killbox, click here to download and run missingfilesetup.exe. Then try Killbox again.

Post a new Hijack This log.

Let me know how that goes, Richard.

Valis

Well, I though that I was a dummy, may be I am, still chearing for the LEAFS.

But I was able to get step one to finally partialy work!!!!!!

The !@#$!@$#@! system came back to me telling me I no longer have administrator rights and cannot run regfix.reg. !#@$!#@$!@#$!@#

Thus like a bull in a china shop I moved on to step 2!!

I did not receive a pendingfile renameoperations prop, but a question wether I wanted to continue or not. Thus I did click ok......

The computer restarted and during the restart the following message appeared:
Could not find c:\windows\system32\printer.exe.

Here is my HJT report, which was ran after the reboot!!@#$%@$#%#

BOY DID I EVER DO A DOOSIE ON THIS ONE!!!

Still that stupid pop up appears! I noticed that if I leave my system hooked up to the net, It looks like there is transmittal of information between the net and the system. Also after a period of time I have to umplug my router, reseting it so that I can get net access.

I think the solution is a stick of tnt!!

Any more help is much appreciated

Regards

Richard
