Every minute (--:--:30) my computer slows down for about 3 seconds. I don't really notice it while using the computer but my sound starts lagging as if it had was a movie with a really low frame rate.

I have looked up other problems like this but none seem to have the same problem.

Please see if u can see what it is.

The computer is brand new and i doubt there is a virus.

p.s. I have attached both dxdiag and hijackthis log.

hello pluker, and welcome to the forums. The hjt log is clean; when you experience the lag, can you id the process using taskmanager? Hit ctrl-shift-esc to bring up task manager, click on the processes tab, and click on the cpu section to sort by cpu. Then when it spikes, report back on what process is spiking it.
