Default Comp Xp Extremely Slow

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, I can't read the tabs in properties. They are so tiny that it would be very difficult, if not impossible, to find the Settings tab. If you know where the Settings tab is, maybe we could work our way around this temporary "blindness". It has been like a merry-go-round. It took me forever to get online. For some reason, my modem couldn't detect my phone line -- it was there all along (last 3 hours)!

Also wanted you to know that I can't restart because the start button does not show restart or shut down or whatever it used to say. The icons are quished together. Help me please!

1. Chaiz never gave you a clean bill of health.
Did you do the things he recommended before this font problem started?

2. This may sound rude, but do you have a problem seeing or is it just the letters on your monitor that you can't see?

Default Comp Extremely Slow

I started doing everything Chiaz had recommended when I hit an impass trying to download driversagent.com. I have no idea what went wrong or why. I do have the square box (green - like a Rubik's cube) on my desktop, but I can't read anyting when I open.

It's not rude about my eyesight. It's not me, it is the computer. It's the strangest thing I've ever seen. The only way I can read your Reply to me is by cut and pasting into WORD. And even in WORD, I have to change the Font to 48.

I'm ready to pull out my hair. Please help.

P.S. When I open any icon on my desktop, I cannot read the page due to the font size. When I opened CC Cleaner, I couldn't make out any of the words, they look like tiny dots. Some of the other icons I open I can work through them because I'm really familiar with them. But the Properties/Screen Resolution I can't change anything because I can't read any of it. That is why I asked if you could help me through with placement of the contents of Display.

I just received the second of two warnings:

"An Invalid Packet Header" [symbol 'i' circled] type intrusion attempt against this computer has been blocked.

I don't know what it means. Help please.

Second? What is the first warning?

Are you sure this happened immediately after you used DriverAgent? Try booting into Safe Mode, and see if the same problem exists.

The second warning was the same as the first one I noted in my reply. I know this problem started when I was downloading driversagent.com

In Safe Mode, I get a continuous string of “multi (0) disk rd disk (0) partition …. driver….”

This is all I could get of it before it went to the Welcome Screen and stayed in that mode for over 10 minutes.

Also, is there a way to restart or shut down using keys only?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

P.S. Is this really serious?

Downloading, or installing? There's a difference between the two.
Do you have a recent restore point that you can revert to?

Also, is there a way to restart or shut down using keys only?

Press Alt, that will bring up the Start menu. Use the arrow keys on your keyboard to get to "Turn off Computer". Then press Enter. You can choose to shut down or restart yor system, from here.
