Perfect lol thanks so much! I had posted earlier but realized I'd forgotten to put the logs up so I deleted it. I am currently scanning with Spybot, and my virus appears to be gone, however earlier it looked like I have a few traces of spyware left on the system; are these the same as cookies, always there but can just be deleted? I noticed one of them was based in the registry itself. I'll post the results when finished, I deleted them but they'll probably come back.

Also, can I delete everything you had me save onto the Desktop? I really don't deal with these programs without help or unless needed, and they're just taking space up and making things appear crowded .

Lastly, what did I do in the last step, just clean the registry out? Couldn't we have done that in the beginning or was it a last-ditch effort?

Thanks again!

You ran SmitfraudFix. I was under the impression that DarkLord7854 had gotten you to run that, but it seems to be otherwise.

The trojan was detected and deleted by Norton; to be safe I ran SmitfraudFix again. Is it safe to keep doing that?

Should you run Option 2 if your computer isn't infected, you may lose your desktop background.I suggest running Option 1. A log would be produced, and if it says that anything is found, you can safely run Option 2.
