Default Kbug?

Hey all!

Got a keyboard malfunction on my laptop a couple of days out from my major medical exams!

For example...

v comes out as vm
f --> fx
q--> 4q
e --> ye
r --> r5

etc..

Have reinstalled windows, reinstalled keyboard drivers....have a feeling it may be a virus.

Sressing major, hope someone can help! Many Thanks!

Welcome to the PCHF yorey,

Unfortunately this sounds like a problem with the keyboard itself.
I'd suggest popping out to the shop (Harvey Norman is good enough) and buying a cheap and nasty keyboard (USB). Plug it into the laptop and see if it still happens. If so, then you've got a keyboard to work with until your medical exams are over and until you can get the keyboard fixed - usually need to send it to an authorised repairer.

Hello.

As GarHar said, try another keyboard out. If the same problem occurs, then it could be some mischievous malware at play here... Post back here in any case, to let us know how it goes.
