Since, as you say, everything worked with the new PC for three months, it is possible something was picked up off the internet. Please click on Pre-Work in my signature and follow the directions fround there.

Where is the old PC? You may have the same problem on that computer.

ok i scanned with ASVG twice each time i could save a report (even though i had it set to save/automatically generate report after every scan)... once the scan was done and the actions were applied the save report button was grayed out so i couldnt click on it also when i went to the reports tab at the top of the screen it said no reports found so i had no way to make one... also i noticed super anitspyware detected a "trojan" (as youll see in the part 2 log) from a file that Im pretty sure isnt a trojan.. but ill let you guys determine that one. I also notice scanning the same "trojan" file with AVG turns up with nothing and scanning it with norton also found nothing but it did say that the master boot record of drive #0 is infected with bloodhound.mbr virus but dunno how accurate norton is since its an unrenewed and possibly old version.

Hello.

The good news is that nothing detected in your system will probably cause the problem you are encountering. Bad news is, well, you have Zango on your computer.

Zango.Toolbar is an adware application that installs a browser helper object, (BHO), in the form of a toolbar.
Zango.Toolbar comes bundled with other Zango software including Zango games and Zango.SearchAssistant. Zango software displays pop-up advertising on the desktop and monitors the user's browsing habits and search queries to display targeted ads.
You can read more at:
Zango Toolbar
Zango.Toolbar

If you want to remove it, please go to Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and find anything related to Zango. Reboot.
Then navigate to and delete the following folder if still present:
C:\Documents and Settings\Terry\Application Data\ZangoToolbar\v3.0\ZangoToolbar\

Please restart your computer, and run one final scan with AVG AntiSpyware.

I doubt that the 'trojan' that SUPERAntiSpyware detected is as such. If it is not too muc h trouble for you, please help them improve their free software by clicking the "Report False Positive" button the next time you select items for removal after a scan.

Ok i have a BEFSR41 its hokked up to my PC and my playstation 2... now heres the deal with it... when i first got it i could use my pc and ps2 at the same time (as im both bein connected to the net at teh same time) or seperate just fine... A few montsh pass and now when i play (i keep my pc and interent connection always on as a result the router too is always on) teh pc works just fine never a problem with it but as soon as i turn on the playstation and boot up my game (its final fantasy xi by the way) a few seconds into playing it I start to lose connection and slowly disconnect (while the computer connection is still going strong) i try rebooting the playstation restart the game. same thing happens i try logging out of teh game then logging back in same thing happens the ONLY way to fix this problem (that ive found so far) is to unplug both the modem and router power cords for 3 mins plug them back up then both the PS2 and pc work normally from there on out (until the next day) .. Also Im pretty sure (though i havent tested) that my ps2 connection works FINE with any other online game i lpay it only seem to be FFXI.

So I figured ok ive had this router for awhile mayeb its just getting old (since like i said this wasnt an issue when i first got it) but Ive since moved to a new house, new internet connect, and new computer.... so i hook up the router with the same setup as i had at my old place... and just like it was when i first got it everything worked fine.. the aforementioned problem was nonexistant... 3 months later.. its back again so umm what exactly Is teh problem? Is teh router getting old? Is it overheatng from being plugged in and on all day... does it actually need that 3 mins of bein unplugged to cooldown to work properly? Why does my PC connection then does not disconnect either? Why does it only seem to effect my PS2 and that ONE game? Can it be fixed for good (other tha buying a new router) ir will i have to just jkeep doing what ive been doing to make it work?
Do you require additional assistance with this problem?
