You can, if you have not installed anything/changed anything in the system.

But I would wait for valis to get back to you, better safe than sorry as they say.

chiaz......'wait for valis'......that's like bruce lee saying 'wait for the cameraman'.

ANYhow.....let's see if we can do this the old fashioned way. Chiaz, if you have any input, please let me know. Vundo, rather tenacious. Going to hit it with big hammer and see what happens, but haven't seen it respawn this frequently.

Step 1

Start hjt, close all browsers, click 'perform system scan only', place a tick next to the following, and click 'fix checked'.

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {28367bb9-95cf-456d-ab9a-1eadc1e2b7e2} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\c_1t32.dll (file missing)
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {c444c288-aa6b-4c8e-a568-80a2bbe257b0} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\atmcNT.dll
O20 - AppInit_DLLs: c:\windows\system32\vtstuut.dll
O20 - Winlogon Notify: atmcNT - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\atmcNT.dll
O20 - Winlogon Notify: c_1t32 - c_1t32.dll (file missing)
O20 - Winlogon Notify: dllkan - dllkan.dll (file missing)

Reboot, and move on to step 2.

Step 2

Please download the Killbox by Option^Explicit.

Note: In the event you already have Killbox, this is a new version that I need you to download.
  • Save it to your desktop.
  • Please double-click Killbox.exe to run it.
  • Select:
    • Delete on Reboot
    • then Click on the All Files button.
  • Please copy the file paths below to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose copy):

    C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\atmcNT.dll
    c:\windows\system32\vtstuut.dll
  • Return to Killbox, go to the File menu, and choose Paste from Clipboard.
  • Click the red-and-white Delete File button. Click Yes at the Delete on Reboot prompt. Click OK at any PendingFileRenameOperations prompt (and please let me know if you receive this message!).
If your computer does not restart automatically, please restart it manually.

If you receive a message such as: "Component 'MsComCtl.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid." when trying to run Killbox, click here to download and run missingfilesetup.exe. Then try Killbox again.

Reboot again, and post a new hjt log.

thanks,

v

Tracking cookies are not real dangerous in most cases-- don't fret.
Almost every site you visit uses some variety of cookie.
Is it good to let them pile up forever? No-- thats why we have scanners.
Just run it evry few days and clean your PC out.
If your browser's cache become too clogged with them --it slow's it down a bit.
There are tthings like this-- to stop many at the door if you want
