Default Problems after running the windows recovery t

Hello.

I have a big problem. After downloading some movie files with a program called Limewire pro,my computer suddenly started to go very slow, so I barely could move the mouse.

To solve this problem , I ran the windows recovery tool (to turn my computer back in time). This problem occured in the beginning of june , and i used this program to go back to around april. This solved this problem , because my computer started to work at normal speed, but then i noticed afterwards, that many programs doesnt work as they should.

I have for example microsoft office, when i try to run microsoft word , it hang up at where It shows the screen with the word logo.

I also tried to uninstall microsoft office, but when i try to do it with the add/remove programs at control panel i just get the message, which says something like this : "An other installation is going on already. Please let it finish before you continue with this one"

I uninstalled norton internet security from the PC before i ran the recovery tool.(when the computer where going really slow, to hopefully make it a bit faster) But it has still an icon on the dekstop and the start menu. when i try to start it up, nothing happends, when i try to uninstall from add/remove programs I get the error message : "the module was not found"

As far I can remember, i think internet explorer worked, but I tried to run updates for windows xp (which is the os iam actually using). I installed IE 7.0, and from the beginning it worked, but suddenly, it started to hang up . it opens where it says "connecting), and then it just hang up with no response.I tried to uninstall it and install it again, but i get the same problem.

Well that are enough examples for now, but what I think is that the problems with these programs mention, looks a bit similar to each other.

I have scanned for spyware wth spybot seach & destroy, and for viruses with an antivirus software called Antivir PersonalEdition classic. They found a few items which i removed.

Do anyone of you have any idea what is wrong? Is those problems caused with the windows recovery tool, or is this problem caused by virus/spyware...?I really need some help! Please.

Hello, and welcome to PCHF.

I would love to help you, but can you please visit the Prework link in my signature and download both AVG Anti-Spyware and SUPERAnti-Spyware. Run a scan with each of them, before posting the logs in your reply.

Meanwhile, please uninstall BitGrabber from your system. This is from Cash4Downloads, an adware distribution network. Bitgrabber installs adware/spyware to your system after installation.
