Unhappy [Closed] IE Pop ups when using Firefox, and Explorer.exe crashing

I just built a new PC a week ago and now whenever I start up firefox I get IE windows popping up at random. Thing is, these windows say IE cannot display the webpage, then list possible reasons for why.

**Correction, I just got a pop up with some ad on it. Normally it says cannot display the webpage, but suddenly I've had a couple that show different ads, etc**

Also, I've had on a few occassions where Explorer.exe suddenly crashes, closes and then starts itself back up. I ran windows defender and ad-aware and still have this problem.

Is there anyone out there that can help me? I'd sure appreciate it. I really don't want to clean out my hard drive and reinstall everything again!

Hi Donkyho,

welcome to PCHF!

Firstly I'd like you to carefully run through and follow the instructions in the prework link in my signature.

It would also be very handy to know if any programs were installed just before this started happening or if anyone else was using your computer between the time it was working fine and went all wonky.

Sorry about the wait, I'm sure you will be helped soon. Usually it only takes a day or 2 but we have been really busy.
