Within the last few days, we have replaced one of her DVD drives with a Samsung CD/DVD-W drive. I installed the Nero software, but it also had something on the disk for Firmware Live Update. It directed to the samsung website odd update and i selected install full version. i ran into a lot of problems after running it with the computer freezing up and having to reboot. when rebooting, the computer would hang for several minutes while it booted up. i tried uninstalling the FW live update, and whether add/remove or in the program files uder it's tab it has uninstall, i get a long error message window and it won't let me remove it. i then went into msconfig and unchecked it to run at boot up and rebooted and computer booted fine. rebotted in safe mode, and it gives me the same error message.things seemed ok, until yesterday. my father then installed an OE version of Norton's internet security 2007. they previously had the 2006 version. later on, my mother was in an hp photo program trying to preview some pics and they weren;t coming up and many were red x'ed out, so she rebooted, and now we get this error message pop up when we reboot along with the computer hangs a lot when trying to perform actions or get on the web
