Chiaz I attempted the scannow and the following just kept coming up...
Files that r required by windows to run properly must be copied to the DLL cache Insert windows xp home edition cd-rom now...as i said in prev there r no discs with this .even when i skipped the file it was always asking for above, comp took ages to boot and slow repsonse to programmes, though flitting about on the net seems not to bad.

Lol i tried that going to shop for discs with my comp I was told if I have problem with comp phone the help line supplied with comp or bring it in and they will use the disc they have and do whats got to be done.

Chiaz just a thought would I do any good taking the comp back to factory settings and saving what things need to be saved to disc? IE: pictures etc etc.PS just looked to se if i can reset to factory and can only find restore points which only allows me to go back a week.,,,,,sigh

Thanks again for your time Chiaz

Well I don't see any way which you can fix your problem right now without any disc, but maybe others will have more ideas.

I would suggest you wait out a few days. If you find the problem unbearable,
or if no one else has anything to suggest, then by all means save what you need to a drive and format the hard disk. This would require your XP CD of course, so you'll have to bring your computer back to the shop.

Hi Chiaz,
yes I agree maybe back the shop with the comp, with it taking so long to boot up and all the rest of the stuff going on it takes me half an hour to do five minutes work having to reboot aft scans etc.

Ok thankyou Chiaz for your patience and time it is much appreciated, I will monitor this posting for a few days.

Cheers Cart

Sorry Chiaz, yes this post is done, friend took comp to shop and they replaced the hard drive, though its still got some of its characteristics it had prior, still she seems happy, so thanks again.
