help i get this error everytime i open any kind of program on my computer... my programs still open and run with no problems but i get this shitty error everytime i do so:

The Application or DLL C:\WINDOWS\system32\perfc000.dat is not a valid Windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette.

i click OKAY and everything is fine... until i open up another program or folder then it pops up again.

i have had some problems with spyware and adware and stuff like that so i'm kinda thinking it might have something to do with that.

i have looked all over the net for any information regards my problem or error and i can't seam to find anything.

please i'm completely sick of these errors popping up everytime i open a new program

It does sound like a bit of spy/malware on your computer.
Can you please follow the prework link in my singniture and post the resulting logs?

I also keep getting pop ups that come from nowhere saying to download these programs because my computer is infected.... i don't get them as often now that i ran a bunch of computer cleaners. and also... i'm pretty certain that i have a trojan horse

anyway i hope i followed your directions properly so that you can help me correct the problem

Please understand Blind dog, that this is a free support forum where our members volunteer their spare time, while during lunch breaks at work/school or free time at home.

Our security staff is also rather stretched and do deal with alot of things at one time. I do find that you abusing someone of "being lazy" when all we do here is help others, in our afore mentioned free time, is a bit harsh.

I do apologise for your ill feelings towards our team here, but i do asure you, it's the complete opposite of us being lazy. The odd thread does get missed here and there, which is just something we have to deal with as we're not as fully staffed as we could be.

my post has been bumped twice in a week and still no help. When i see others have been helped like an hour or 2 after their post... and i don't see how it could be lost when there were more than 50 reads on it. plus you took the responsibility of my problem and then asked me to do stuff for you when i took the time and effort to download all those programs and **** then not even get a reply of any kind until i tell you to forget about it? what a joke this place is. Lazy is the least of what i could say...
