go to start > run > appwiz.cpl > remove viewpoint manager. Other than that, your log is clean. Your speed tests that you posted above are well withing tolerance; quite fast, actually.

It's not your not router, as you can get to websites. It's certain websites that you cannot get to. So we need to figure out why you cannot get to those websites.

Are all the pc's unable to get to those sites or just one?

Hi Hemoglowen.

Though your download speed is rather fast, the asymmetrical nature of home DSL connections gives you a 76KB (kilobyte not kilobit which is represented by a lower case b) upload. This tends to be pretty easy to choke out (aka uploading with a torrent app would do that so as long as no one on the network is using that you should mostly be fine).

You said you are in a dorm. Are you on a private DSL connection or is it shared betweeen the entire dorm? How many PCs are on the network. Is it a wireless network or wired ( at the connection to the outside)?

Remember that ususally a 76KB upload is more than sufficient for web-browsing, however, if someone on the network is uploading files (such as an mp3 on Messenger or attaching a large file to an e-mail etc), it can still easily choke that throughput out. When you click on a link on the web, you need to send information to the site you're trying to access so that the site knows what kind of information you're looking for. Not to mention that TCP/IP suite of protocols includes error-checking and whatnot so every packet get's checked against the original file. This requires that upload and can result in a seemingly slow download.
