I don't mean to but in but I had an idea if you are still getting the error message it may actualy be somthing loading in startup. To check if is and won't take much time to check would be to run msconfig and disable all startup items and reboot the PC if you don't get the popup then you know it is somthing loading in startup.

no, that's cool. It's in quarantine; I just forgot that nod puts the quarantine in with the .exe.....just let that folder be.....

madmatt, you never **** in, you know that....

I think the 'C:\WINDOWS\system\smsc.exe' service is what's starting at startup. We'll see.

marinos, what about C:\WINDOWS\winwd.exe?

i don't know what is it. It just starting on start up. When I close it from task manager nothing happens. Should I delete it from the safe mode and follow the instructions you told me before? Thanks

I run hjt this again, tick that, click 'fix checked', reboot, and post a new log.
